This course is an introduction and a brief history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church from the Millerite Movement to the present. It is a general requirement course designed for all students except for the Theology and Religion majors who take the RELH 226 History of the SDA Church instead.

This course is designed to help the student grasp the import of the ministry of Jesus Christ
through a study of His life and teachings as recorded in the Gospels. RELB 220 is for general
students but RELB 3201 is for Theology and Religion majors.

To introduce the ministry of Jesus Christ through the study of His life and teachings as
recorded in the Gospels.
To give an overview of the historical, social, economic, cultural, and political background
of the time so as to bring out the factors that prevailed and impacted on the Jews of Jesus’
time.
To emulate Jesus as the role model and great exemplar of a satisfying life.
