This course investigates the manner that people interact with products and their marketing environment. This can include the purchase of products, the consumption of services, or the disposal of goods. Understanding consumers enables marketers to more effectively meet the needs of buyers in the market, and be more successful in the market. It explores many social, cultural and marketing factors that influence the selection and usage of products and services. It discusses perspectives on consumer behavior from marketing, psychology, and sociology and anthropology point of view. Some of the techniques that marketers use to understand and influences consumers, and how these techniques contribute to our daily lives and the culture in which we live, are also discussed.

This course is designed to give students an understanding of the basic macroeconomic concepts and theories. We shall start with the important differences between macroeconomic and microeconomic questions. We shall also discuss economic fluctuations.
Aims of the course is:
- To help students understand the forces determining macroeconomic variables such as inflation, unemployment, interest rates, and exchange rates
- To enable students to formulate and assess macroeconomic policy suggestions
- Enable students to define macroeconomic terminology
- To help students interpret and evaluate media reports on the macroeconomy.
